For over seven years Mark Stratford and Adrian Phillips ran Glovebox Live working with some great names from the music industry including Tom Robinson, Nine Below Zero, Big Boy Bloater, Kris Drever, Raghu Dixit, John Smith, C Duncan, Son of Dave, Grace Petrie, Danny & The Champions of the World, Emily Barker, Robyn Hitchcock, Chris Wood, Stone Foundation, and Squeeze’s Glenn Tilbrook promoting over 100 events in Oxfordshire and beyond and running stages at festivals including Wychwood, Cornbury, Riverside and Truck.
Like many in the live arts Covid ripped the rug from beneath them and reluctantly they decided to close the business in January this year.
To say goodbye to their loyal audiences and to act as an archive for some of the amazing nights they staged Glovebox are releasing Vol.2 of live tracks taken from 12 of their gigs from over the years.
Including material by Smoove & Turrell, Boo Hewerdine, Rusty Shackle, Naomi Bedford with Paul Simmonds & The Ramshackle Band, Charlie Austen, Rainy, Trevor Moss & Hannah Lou, Jeremy & The Harlequins, Dolly Mavis, The Orange Circus Band, Catfish & Kerri Watt net profits from sales will go to the Music Venue Trust, Stagehand and Help Musicians UK.
